We are a short drive from many of South Leitrim's towns and villages. Ballinamore, Drumshanbo and Carrick on Shannon are all less than 15 minutes by taxi .

Carrick-on-Shannon, a ten minute taxi ride away, with its bustling streets and river frontage is a treat for all. An abundance of restaurants and pubs offer entertainment all year long. Summer Festivals include Carrick Water Music festival with a variety of classical and opera performances set in the festival marquee by the Shannon. The Oarsman in Carrick is one of Irelands leading gastro pubs winning numerous good food awards whilst Cryans pub down the road on Bridge street hosts Irish traditional musicians every weekend. Dunnes sports pub on Main street caters for the sports enthusiast. Thursday Market in the Market Yard Carrick-on-Shannon has home grown veg and fruit, fresh fish, organic meat, home made  bread and cakes as well as Arts and crafts......

Drumshanbo, ten minutes in the opposite direction also offers much in the way of music festivals, An Tostal and the Joe Mooney summer school festival both having international acclaim. During the Joe Mooney summer school the streets and pubs of Drumshanbo come alive to the sounds of Irish instruments.

Arigna mining experience
15 min drive from Kilclare brings you to the Arigna mining experience which is an award winning tourist attraction for all ages. Guided trips down the mine with an excellent visitor centre attached.

Lough Key Forest Park
Less than half an hour by car finds you at Lough Key. Activities there include forest walks, kids adventure playgrounds, tree canopy walks, zip wire rides, deer watching, boating, 19th century tunnel walkways, and an award winning visitor centre. Its easy to spend a day or two exploring the park.

Child friendly farm tours with a menagerie of pets and animals to interact with. Located just the other side of Carrick

Lough Allen adventure centre
For outdoor pursuits, situated on the shores of Lough Allen nearby is the lough allen adventure centre. Courses in Canoeing, Kayaking, Winsurfing as well as other outdoor pursuits whilst taking in the breathtaking beauty of Lough Allen and its surrounding areas.

The Dock
Situated in the old courthouse of Carrick-on-Shannon, close to the marina is the Dock arts centre. A continually changing schedule of art performances, exhibitions and incorporating the Leitrim Design Centre the Dock is a must for all visitors to Leitrim. The Leitrim design centre features the best of Irish design with exhibits from both local and national artisans, whilst the auditorium hosts intimate performances of music and drama.

Moon River
River Shannon cruises from moon river in Carrick operate 7 days a week during the summer months. Floating up river accompanied to the sounds of jazz is one of their specialities. With or without music moon river offers wonderful vistas of the Shannon river and its environs.

Moorlands equestrian centre
Just up the road in Drumshanbo is situated moorlands equestrian centre. Enjoy horseriding and treking along the shores of Lough Allen at very reasonable rates.

Aura Leisure Centre
Carrick offers swimming and other sporting activities through Aura Leisure. Located beside one of Carricks biggest employers, Bank of America Europe.

Lough Bran
We are located very close to Lough Bran which is one of Irelands best coarse fishing lakes. Fish the 60 acre lake for Bream Roach and Tench amongst others.

Both Ballinamore and Carrick on shannon golf clubs are a short drive away. Both are 18 hole and set in beautiful surrounds with club houses offering full facilities.

Walking For hill walkers and ramblers we are also very close to the Leitrim way which takes in the wild and wonderful scenery of North Leitrim. From the banks of Lough Allen the route takes you 30 miles to Manorhamilton along the ridges of some of Irelands most beautiful but least known mountains.
